Name: Featherkit Featherpaw Featherheart
Age: 6 Moons
Group: ShadowClan
Gender: She-Cat
Position: Apprentice
Description: Featherpaw Featherpaw Sleeping Featherpaw is a pretty and small she-cat; named for her long fur and feather-like tail. Her fur is a shimmering gray color, and her eyes are a striking green. As said before, Featherpaw is a small she-cat; smaller than most cats you’ll meet. Her body is lithe and slender, so it makes her look smaller than she actually is; though she is, once again, small. With her body and her size, Featherpaw looks almost like a kit, though she is a newly made apprentice.
In the shading, sometimes it seems as if her silvery-gray pelt is black, but in the light it will shine in it’s silvery glory. Her eyes, a beautiful green-brown color, may seem a but misty, but that’s just how it is. Her fur may sometimes be a bit messy, especially since she moves a lot in her sleep, but she usually keeps it looking nice; but even if messy, it looks adorable on her.
Personality: Featherpaw is shy; as in very shy. She doesn’t converse much, because she can’t find anything to say; or rather, she doesn’t know what to say. Despite her shyness, Featherpaw is a very kind she-cat; she likes helping others, especially in her own clan. She’s not cruel enough to say no to another cat outside ShadowClan that might need help though; the reason that many think that she should take the route as a medicine cat apprentice. However, Featherpaw is determined; determined to prove her worth, not like Darkpaw was, but still determined. She is determined to prove her worth in finding out what she could do for the clan. She knows she can help; she knows she can do much more for the clan than just be a medicine cat apprentice. Featherpaw isn’t sure what she could do though; but she strives to become deputy of ShadowClan one day, not leader; she knew that wasn’t her future, she just wasn’t…a leader.
Featherpaw is also loyal; her loyalty to ShadowClan never wavers, no matter how many cats she ends up helping; she’ll stay true to her clan. Another thing about Featherpaw is that she is sensitive; she doesn’t take to being yelled at well; mainly because her parents always coddled her and loved her and everything. To them, even to the harsh Spiderclaw, she was everything. So, she’s not use to the harshness of reality yet; so she may get emotional at times because of it. Though after cooling off, or being consoled or something, Featherpaw will most likely be the one to realize that she should toughen up, and she’ll eventually forgive you…depending on what you did. She can hold grudges though; but she doesn’t like to; it makes her feel bad for some reason or another.
The pretty silvery-gray she-cat also has this kit-like nature and attitude about her. Since her father shielded her from all things bad, she can be pretty curious about well…everything. It’s this curiosity that brings about the kit-like nature of Featherpaw; and along with it, a naivety that may seem to some like stupidity. Not to say Featherpaw’s stupid, she’s just naïve. Since she has the kit-like attitude, she likes to follow; in short, she’s a follower, unsure of where she stands by herself, she finds a place by someone else. However, this tends to cause her to be mean, though she may not like it; if her friends don’t like you, she won’t like you. There are times where she goes off on her own, but she rarely does that; it’s almost as if she’s not ready for it yet.
All in all, one may think Featherpaw is not ready for apprenticeship yet, because of her kit-like nature and attitude, as well as her inability to rely on herself. She’s insecure about her decisions, doesn’t know if they are right or wrong, so she follows her friends’, because she thinks they would know better. However, she is ready for apprenticeship because she’s ready to grow out of her kit-like attitude, but she can’t really grow out of her kit-like nature. She’s trying to prove to herself and everyone else that she can do it; what? She’s not sure yet; but she’s going to prove she isn’t just some kit who is playing pretend warrior/apprentice. She wants them to see her as Featherpaw; a real ShadowClan apprentice. That’s what she was going to do…once she finds her place first.
Family: Father - Spiderclaw; a harsh black and white tom with green eyes. NPC Mother - Ivyleaf; a gray and white tabby she-cat with amber eyes. [ Deceased ] Littermates - Leafkit; brown she-cat; eyes unknown. [ Deceased ] Pebblekit; gray tom with amber eyes. [ Deceased ]
History: Featherkit Featherkit was the last kit born to Ivyleaf, a great huntress, and Spiderclaw, a fierce ShadowClan warrior. Her mother, Ivyleaf had named her; for the to-be fluffy tail she knew Featherkit was going to have; and she was right. However, if wasn’t long after Featherkit got her name that Ivyleaf joined StarClan. The birthing had been difficult on the already weakened she-cat; and in the end, it’s what took her life. However, at least she got to see her beautiful kits; and she was glad to have had the chance to. Featherkit, barely a few minutes old, cried and mewled. She didn’t know what for; perhaps hunger, or warmth, or to get clean or something, but even after she was given to another queen to be taken care of, she cried. Perhaps it was for her lost mother; because it wasn’t until Silverpelt shone in the sky that Featherkit had stopped crying.
Her littermates were silent, mewling as normal kits do; it was Featherkit that had caused worry amongst the three newborn kits. Spiderclaw worried that she wouldn’t survive, being so small and mewling and crying so much. However, it wasn’t her that was gone by morning; Leafkit, named after her mother, had joined StarClan that night. The queen taking care of them wailed, for the lost kit, for the last two kits; she wailed for the family. Spiderclaw was sad; he cared for his last two kits with such love that the clan had to do a double take; the harsh Spiderclaw, loving? It seemed to have worked though; as the two kits, Pebblekit and Featherkit had survived the next few moons; growing enough to venture out the nursery.
However, the tragedy was not over; not yet. One day, Pebblekit had decided to venture out the nursery den; to try and play hero and grab some prey for the clan; for the queen that took care of them the past moons. Featherkit, being the curious little follower she is, decided to follow Pebblekit, and together the two snuck out of the camp. It wasn’t all that hard really, as Featherkit was one of the smaller kits around, and Pebblekit just had a knack for that type of thing. It was a cold leaf-bare; but the two kits trudged on, sticking together, side by side, pushing each other when one needed it. If one thinks of it, the two would’ve been a great team. Still, as they tried to find some prey, which they had, but scared off the first couple times, they began to shake. It was getting cold for both the kits; and so they decided to turn back and return to camp; however, it began to snow, and their little paw prints in the snow were covered. In short; they were cold and lost.
Featherkit cried out for Spiderclaw, their father, while Pebblekit just trudged onward; pushing Featherkit as she cried. In truth, the two kits were close to the camp; closer than they had originally thought. They were lucky, because the cat on guard had heard Featherkit’s wailing and had been able to bring them back to camp. The journey was not over yet; due to it, both kits got sick. It was whitecough; but in the end, Featherkit had miraculously gotten better. Pebblekit hadn’t. It was only with sheer luck and a miracle that Featherkit hadn’t died or frozen out there. Pebblekit joined StarClan, just a moon before their apprenticeship.
Now --- Featherpaw Now, as a newly made apprentice, Featherpaw is working on finding how she could help the clan. She’s working on proving that she’s not a kit anymore, that she’s ready for this. Above all, Featherpaw is trying to find where she belongs. How she fits in. She knows its in ShadowClan, but she just has to figure out how.
Other: :’3 There wasn’t as much to put in since she’s just an apprentice…Hope it’s ok if I make an apprentice…and would the leader choose her warrior name? Just wondering, thanks. <3
