Dull. Boring. No excitement.
These three words ran through her mind as the she-cat gazed across the camp through half-opened eyes. Was this how life was going to be for the rest of her days? If it was, she wasn't sure that she wanted to be here. There had to be a better way to spend her days as leader instead of the usual routine-hunt, train, borders patrols, and then... sleep. But every warrior has at least some free-time, and her's was seeming terribly boring. Then again, so did most. She spent most of her time alone-any breaks were no acception to hr personal rule. So the she-cat sat in the shade of a nearby tree, watching her clanmates as they went on with their day to day lives.
Hailstorm had never been to optimistic-she was just the opposite. And being social? She showed respect toward her clanmates, sure, but didn't engauge into a conversation often. Not that many people wanted to be around her, reguardless. Her small size, lack of physical strength, and her cold personality seemed to keep others away. Not that it bothered her much, though. Getting to close to another feline like herself was most likely what she feared most in the world. And though she did speak to others occationally, though only when spoken to, she distanced herself from others as much as she possibly could. Others were probably used to things being that way by now, she guessed, as few bothered her. But someone always seemed to show up, hoping for a buddy-buddy chat that she couldn't provide. It was just the way they were.
"Not that I would care," the she-cat muttered, shifting uncomfortably in the blazing, green-leaf heat. "Let the population be mouse brained. As long as they leave me out of it, I'm perfectly fine with that." It was all possible that she did enjoy the few conversations she was in a little, somewhere deep down, but had that been true, no one would have noticed. Not even she, herself, would have noticed as it would likely be buried deep, deep down. Far beyond her reach. All anyone could see was an almost expressionless face that didn't change very often.
'Why must it be so warm?' Hailstorm growled silently. 'It's days like these were you can't help but miss the cold days of leaf-bare. But I suppose I'll be complaining like this when leaf-bare does come around... It always seems to happen.' The white she-cat meowed, "Let's just hope this day doesn't get to dull to handle. If I must sit here in the heat like a worthless kittypet, I'm afraid I'll go mad. It can't be to long before I can go on another patrol, can it...?"
((This post is so short! D: Only 454 words? That's pathetic! Aw well. I honestly have no idea what to add to this, so it'll have to do for now. This post looks bland, too... I suppose I'll have to make a header and footer to make up for my lack o' tableness.))

Stormcloud [/b][/i][/size] Squinting through the tangled reeds of the RiverClan entrance, a blue grey tom pressed himself into the camp, two water voles in jaw. His ears flicked away the sweat that greased his shorter fur from the hot sun that beat on him daily.
Stormcloud padded towards the center of the camp, where the fresh-kill pile lay, somewhat stocked. He deposited his catches into the hill of carcasses, and shook himself off. Glancing up at the Greenleaf sky, he noticed the sun at the peak of it's journey across it, and he looked back down and toward his paws. This weather is ridiculous. He thought to himself silently.
Glancing around camp, he noticed all the warriors stretched out on the floor, resting or taking in the sunlight, some kits playing sluggishly from the heat, and a few eating fresh-kill quite slowly. Stormcloud took another glance at the kill pile, noting there was a mouse, and another vole, apart from his catches.
Sighing, he looked back up. He was going to need to go back out and catch some more prey. His mind tugged on him, telling him to retreat to the Warrior's den, but his urge to feed the small kits, now snoozing instead of playing, grew on him. He signed once more, and began to pad toward the entrance to camp again, when he noticed the rather bored looking Hailstorm under a shaded tree. He curved his path and started toward her, and unamused look on her face.
"Hailstorm!" Stormcloud greeted the she-cat, knowing she wasn't the one to hold much of a conversation. "Come fishing with me." He urged her, and flicked his tail. After a brief moment of silence, he added, "It'll be a good way to cool off," He allowed his voice to trail off, as he waited for an answer from the other Warrior.
(Your post is a fine length!! Heck, mine's 310 words, I'm short on muse after making his bio. -_- There isn't even a post limit on here, so you're good!! :D)
